PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT

Introduction

The Privacy Notice below is a public statement of how our organisation applies data protection principles to processing your data.  Here, we aim to make it clear, concise and accessible and we aim to ensure it covers our data protection objectives, responsibilities and how we handle breaches.

Our Privacy Notice

Cadillac Plastic take the privacy of information very seriously and will only collect information necessary to facilitate and fulfil any commercial arrangements between ourselves and our suppliers/customers. In this respect, the receipt and processing of information/data defined as personal information under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) will be kept to a minimum. 

Cadillac Plastic does not anticipate collecting or processing personal information within the performance of commercial activities and any information held will be specific to the purpose it is required for. 

Access is limited to Cadillac Plastic Directors and authorised employees.

Cadillac Plastic may share your data with third parties but only to facilitate the fulfilment of our contract e.g. carriers and material manufacturers.   

Collection of Data

We will only collect the information on your customer/supplier file that we need for the specific purpose of fulfilling the commercial activities required.

We encourage the use of non-personal contact details

(eg.accounts@cadillacplastic.co.uk) but information received may include personal information as defined under GDPR.

This may include:

  • Your first name
  • Your surname
  • Your company email address
  • Your business correspondence address

The information is held in customer/supplier specific files in accordance with the commercial purpose it is required for and maintained securely at all times.

We ensure all data is relevant and up to date at all times.

We will only hold as much data as we need in order to process your orders   

We will allow you to see the data held on you, by written request.  We will not allow a third-party to access your data other than as stated above.

Security

Electronic documents are stored on servers and computers. Access is by authorised personnel using password protection. 

Data will be held electronically where appropriate, but original hard copy documentation is often required. Hard copy documents and customer/supplier files are held in a secure storage facility with access limited to authorised personnel.

Retention & Disposal of Data

Data will be retained in line with statutory requirements or as agreed by you.

Retention of data/documentation will be kept to a minimum.

All data & documentation are professionally destroyed when they are no longer required.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

The internet and data privacy best practice are both developing/evolving all the time.  We therefore reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time.  Any changes we make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on our website.
