Description

Autotex V” (also called Autotex Velvet or “V-series”) is one of the texture/finish variants in the Autotex family of hardcoated polyester (PET) films from MacDermid Alpha.

The V in “V150, V200, V280, V157, V207, etc.** refers to Velvet texture. That is, the film has a relatively coarse, deeper texture compared to “Fine” variants.

As with other Autotex films, one side is UV-cured hard coat (with the Velvet texture), and the other side is treated with a primer for better ink adhesion.

Applications

  • Membrane Switch Overlays & Keypads
  • Control & Fascia Panels
  • Back-lit Displays & Indicator Windows
  • Hygiene-Sensitive or Public Interface Surfaces
  • Printed Graphics & Nameplates
  • Consumer Product Interfaces

Description

Autotex F refers to the Fine-textured finish in the Autotex family of hard-coated polyester (PET) films. The texture is relatively fine (lighter, less deep) compared to the Velvet (“V”) finish.

Like other Autotex films, one side has a UV-cured, hard coat with texture; the reverse side is primed for graphics ink adhesion (solvent‐based, or in certain grades UV/solvent).

Applications

  • Membrane Switch Overlays & Keypads
  • Control Panels & Fascia Overlays
  • Display Windows & Back-lit Graphics
  • Graphic Overlays, Labels & Nameplates
  • Clean or Aesthetic Surfaces in Public-Touch Areas
  • Medical & Laboratory Equipment
